This is one service we are assigned to undertake on an almost weekly basis. Whereby scale fire plan / strategy drawings are provided and benchmarked against which ever prescriptive standards have been used in the design. The drawings are also cross-referenced with the fire strategy report and if required, advice provided on any amendments.
To provide the client with piece of mind, on large projects we undertake interim fire inspections at various phases of the construction. This is to ensure all aspects such as compartmentation are compliant and that no unwanted surprises come to light at the end of the build which can / has invariably delayed the handover of the project.
We have a specialist team of surveyors that undertake Type 3 fire inspections. This involves the inspection of communal loft areas, checking for lines of compartmentation, breaches in compartments and unwanted storage i.e. flammable materials. Flat entrance doors are also inspected to ensure compliance and the presence of automatic detection is established to ensure these are in line with BS 5839 Part 6. The results of these are formed in detailed reports per property, containing photographic evidence of compliance or non-compliance. For larger contracts, additional weekly or monthly reports are produced providing quick reference to areas of non-compliance.
scale AutoCAD fire plan layout drawings are a service we offer; this includes details of fire compartments, fire alarm equipment location, emergency lighting location, fire extinguisher locations, means of escape direction, gas / electric shut off locations and areas of significant fire risk.
At times, prescriptive solutions cannot always be used to minimise certain risks for various reasons. With over 22 years of experience, we can always draw on past knowledge to resolve the issue/s with an alternative methodology while still meeting the requirements of legislation.
