Online Fire Portal
For clients with large property portfolios, such as housing associations, we have developed an online cloud based fire portal which was established over five years ago.
The portal enables clients to complete the fire risk management cycle. This, we feel, revolutionises the fire risk assessment process.
The important feature of the portal is to enable clients to provide evidence in the form of a ‘golden thread’, whereby staff or contractors can sign off significant findings electronically.
An example of this is where a fire risk assessor identifies that a door closing device has been disconnected. An automatic email is sent to the relevant person i.e. facilities manager. They then use a drop down list to assign it to the contractor and an email is sent outlining the works to be undertaken.
Once the contractor has undertaken the works, they have the facility to upload job sheets, certificates and photographic evidence to show the works are completed. Once all significant findings have been signed off, the property automatically changes from ‘non-compliant’ to ‘compliant’. The fire risk assessments can be viewed online as well as downloaded to PDF’s and printed if required.
The portal has an innovative splash screen or landing page. This has graphical representation of the portfolios overall compliance levels.
The graphs include the number of assessments completed per month, overdue fire risk assessments, remedial action status (due, overdue and complete), detailed remedial action overview, as well as many others. We have one client that has the splash screen on a large TV in their office to enable them to quickly monitor their compliance levels.
The portal also has reporting functions which can be downloaded or printed via PDF’s, these include building survey summaries (due and overdue), remedial actions (due, overdue and completed) and remedial actions with a drop down facility to select particular contractors.
For clients that do not wish to use third-party consultants, we offer the service of renting the portal, which has many innovative features that greatly reduce the time taken to formulate a fire risk assessment.
We also have the ability to provide clients with peace of mind relating to security, whereby the portal has high security features, also weekly backups of the portal are undertaken as well as daily database backups to an external server.
